Based upon research and recommendations provided by the Community Development Department, the Planning Commission is entrusted with making decisions on proposed developments and improvements and propose recommendations for City Council action. Items brought before the Planning Commission for consideration include: Development Plan Approvals; Conditional Use Permits; Modification Permits; Variances, Zone Changes and General Plan Amendments.

Speaking at Public Meetings: If you would like to address the Commission on a scheduled agenda item, please fill out a public comment card and give it to a City staff member prior to the commencement of the public comment portion. Public comment cards are available at the entrance of the council chambers. Public comment cards assist the Commissioners in ensuring that all persons wishing to address the Commission are recognized.
Public Comment: Any member of the public may address the Commission on items within the subject matter jurisdiction but which are not listed on this agenda during public comments. However, no action may be taken on matters that are not part of the posted agenda.
