William K. Rounds, Mayor

Mayor William (Bill) Rounds is serving his fourth term since being first elected in 2007. He served as Mayor in 2012, 2017 and 2020. Mr. Rounds is serving his fourth term as Mayor for the 2025 year. During his tenure as a Councilmember, he has served as liaison to the Historical and Community Preservation Advisory Committee, Senior Advisory Committee, Park and Recreation Advisory Committee, and Heritage Arts Advisory Committee. Mr. Rounds has also served as a member of the Finance Audit Sub-Committee, Budget Sub-Committee, and Capital Improvement Project Sub-Committee. 

Mayor Rounds was born in Concord, Massachusetts, and moved to Santa Fe Springs with his parents in 1951. He attended local schools and graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1968. For 11 years, Mr. Rounds served as a Santa Fe Springs Planning Commissioner. He has been an active member of several Committees and Organizations: American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Santa Fe Springs 50th and 60th Anniversary Celebration, Santa Float and former Coach and Board Member for Metropolitan Little League. Mr. Rounds retired after 41 years as a Supervisor for the LA County Sanitation District (LACSD) in the Field Engineering Department. He and his wife Jennifer, have four adult children and nine grandchildren.
