Health and Wellness Initiative Updated: Apr 5, 2022


The purpose of the Health & Wellness Initiative is to educate and empower the Santa Fe Springs community to improve and maintain overall health & well-being, and to advocate for a healthy community culture. The initiative is applied to the core operations within the three Divisions in the Department. Some of the strategies include a Community Garden, a Fun Run, a wellness audio library collection, and healthy vending machines.
- HEAL - The City became a HEAL (Healthy Eating Active Living) City in 2015 and receives technical support from the Heal Cities Campaign to develop and implement more health-related policies.
