Juanita Martin, Councilmember
Councilmember Juanita Martin was first elected to the City Council in November of 2009. She served as Mayor in 2014, 2019, and 2023. Councilmember Martin is a lifelong resident of the City of Santa Fe Springs. She attended local elementary and middle schools and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1992. Prior to her election to the City Council, Councilmember Martin was actively involved in the community where she served on the Parks and Recreation Committee, Safe Neighborhood Team, Community Planning Committee, Sister City, Community Playhouse, and the City’s Christmas Float Program. Since 2008, Councilmember Martin has been a member of Santa Fe High School’s Sports Club.
Councilmember Martin is married to her husband Justin and has two daughters, Alyssa and Aliah.

John M. Mora, Councilmember
John M. Mora was first elected to the City Council in November of 2018 and is serving his second term on the Council. He was appointed and served his first term as Mayor in 2021. Councilmember Mora is a lifelong resident of Santa Fe Springs. Prior to being elected to the City Council and after his first term on the Council, he served as a Planning Commissioner. John is a former City employee, where he worked in aquatics, transportation and the City’s Christmas Float Program. Councilmember Mora also participated in a variety of community volunteer programs, which include Santa Fe High School’s Mentor Program, Booster Clubs for Santa Fe High School’s band, water polo and cross country teams, and the Little Lake City School District Wellness Committee.
Councilmember Mora has a chiropractic business that has operated in the City for over 20 years. He completed his undergraduate studies at Rio Hondo Community College, California State University Fullerton, and California State University Los Angeles. John received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences. Councilmember Mora and his wife have five children.

William K. Rounds, Councilmember
During his tenure as a Councilmember, Mayor William (Bill) Rounds has served as liaison to the Historical and Community Preservation Advisory Committee, Senior Advisory Committee, Park and Recreation Advisory Committee, and Heritage Arts Advisory Committee. Mr. Rounds has also served as a member of the Finance Audit Sub-Committee, Budget Sub-Committee, and Capital Improvement Project Sub-Committee.
Mayor Rounds was born in Concord, Massachusetts, and moved to Santa Fe Springs with his parents in 1951. He attended local schools and graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1968. For 11 years, Mr. Rounds served as a Santa Fe Springs Planning Commissioner. He has been an active member of several Committees and Organizations: American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Santa Fe Springs 50th and 60th Anniversary Celebration, Santa Float and former Coach and Board Member for Metropolitan Little League. Mr. Rounds retired after 41 years as a Supervisor for the LA County Sanitation District (LACSD) in the Field Engineering Department. He and his wife Jennifer, have four adult children and nine grandchildren.
