The City of Santa Fe Springs Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) outlines a proactive approach to reducing risks from natural and human-caused hazards that could impact the community. Developed in coordination with local, regional, and state partners, the plan identifies Santa Fe Springs’ specific hazards, evaluates potential impacts to residents, businesses, and critical infrastructure, and establishes strategies to minimize loss of life, property damage, and economic disruption. The plan has been reviewed and approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), ensuring eligibility for certain federal hazard mitigation funding and reinforcing the City’s commitment to long-term resilience and preparedness.
