Housing Updated: Feb 17, 2026
The City of Santa Fe Springs is committed to supporting access to affordable and diverse housing options. While the City does not directly administer housing assistance programs, residents may qualify for a variety of programs offered by the State of California and the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA). These include first-time homebuyer assistance, mortgage credit programs, and rental subsidies.
In addition, the City offers guidance for homeowners interested in building Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) to expand housing opportunities. Property owners can review our ADU Information Handout and download the ADU Permit Application for step-by-step instructions on requirements, submittals, and design standards.
To learn more, visit our Housing Programs and Services page or access ADU Information page.
AB987 Affordable Housing Database
AB 987, which was passed by the California State Legislature, requires all redevelopment agencies to maintain a database of existing new and substantially rehabilitated units of housing with affordability covenants and restrictions. The database is to be presented on the City's website and updated on an annual basis. In accordance with the requirements of AB 987, the City of Santa Fe Springs database is posted below for public review. Please be aware that this is only a listing of affordable housing that has been assisted with Low- and Moderate-Income Housing Funds. This is not a listing of currently available housing. For more information about AB 987, including analyses and history please go to http://www.assembly.ca.gov/.
